°µÍø½ûÇøion on Edmonton's 95 Avenue resumes for a final year

EDMONTON – °µÍø½ûÇøion has started on stage two of the  from 163 Street to 170 Street.

The City of Edmonton notes the project will rehabilitate roads, replace streetlights, sidewalks, curbs and gutters and add missing sidewalk links where possible.

°µÍø½ûÇøion is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Here is the work that will be carried out:

  • Road reconstruction from 163 Street to 170 Street, including the replacement of sidewalks, curbs and street lighting on the south side of 95 Avenue.
  • Removal of the service road on the south side of 95 Avenue from 165 Street to 170 Street and construction of a shared pathway. 
  • Permanent removal of service road lane access on the south side of 95 Avenue, east of 170 Street.
  • Installation of on-street parking bays.
  • Tree removals, where required, with new landscaping and tree replanting.  
  • Bus stop upgrades east of 167 Street.
  • New sustainable stormwater drainage.

Work on 182 Street to 189 Street was deferred, the city explains, and will be considered as part of the 2026-2030 budget cycle.
