OLDS, ALTA. – PCL °µÍø½ûÇøion recently celebrated a milestone at Olds College of Agriculture and Technology with the partial turnover of heavy equipment labs.
According to the company, Heavy Equipment Laboratories 3 and 4 have made another step toward welcoming students this fall.
The labs comprise a 40,000-square-foot training facility, featuring two large work bays equipped with seven-ton rolling cranes, a dedicated welding area, specialized tools, compressed air systems and safety equipment designed to support hands-on industry training.

°µÍø½ûÇøion started in May 2025 on the $63 million trades building renovation and expansion.
The upgrades will add more than 440 seats for trades programming, and 100 seats for dual-credit trades programs, while modernizing the space and adding state-of-the-art equipment and technology, explains a release from the Alberta government.
The project is slated for completion in 2027.
