UXBRIDGE, ONT. — Infrastructure Ontario and Oak Valley Health have issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for teams to deliver the Oak Valley Health – Uxbridge Redevelopment Project.
The RFQ is the first step in the process and submissions will be reviewed to shortlist teams with the required construction experience as well as the financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity, states a release. Â
The project is being delivered using a design-bid-build model. Currently, the architect and engineers of record are completing the design documents. This RFQ is to select a contractor to deliver the project based on these designs.
Shortlisted teams will be invited to respond to a Request for Proposals, which is expected in summer 2026.
At approximately 140,000-square-feet the new Uxbridge hospital site will add more patient beds and expand key services such as ambulatory care and diagnostic imaging, the release adds.Â
As part of the new redevelopment, the hospital’s clinical areas will include: Â
- Ambulatory services
- Emergency servicesÂ
- Inpatient servicesÂ
- Diagnostic Imaging and cardiorespiratory services
- Inpatient laboratoryÂ
- Inpatient pharmacy
- Administrative services Â
- Support services
