Aecon Utilities completes acquisition of high-voltage testing contractor K.P.C.

TORONTO — Aecon Utilities Group Inc. has completed the previously announced acquisition of K.P.C. Power Electrical Ltd. and K.P.C. Energy Metering Solutions Ltd.

“With the expanded expertise and capacity of the K.P.C. team, we are well positioned to harness significant grid modernization, electrification and infrastructure upgrade opportunities moving forward,” said Jean-Louis Servranckx, president and Chief Executive Officer of Aecon Group Inc. in a statement.

Aecon Utilities provides utility infrastructure solutions in Canada, with a growing presence in the U.S., operating in four markets: electrical transmission and distribution, renewables and in-home services, telecommunications and pipeline distribution, through independent subsidiaries, a release reads.

A significant portion of Aecon Utilities’ revenues are generated from recurring programs for public and leading private utility-sector clients.

K.P.C. provides end-to-end utility contracting solutions. Through its Power Electrical and Energy Metering Solutions businesses, K.P.C. specializes in high-voltage testing, commissioning and energy metering solutions for projects in Ontario.

The dollar amount was not disclosed.
