CANMORE, ALTA. — Ledcor Group recently announced it has broken ground on a new affordable housing project in Canmore that will provide 144 purpose-built rental units.

In all the development features two mid-rise buildings that will include solar-powered rooftops, bike storage, shared green spaces and underground parking.
All of the units will be at 25 to 40 per cent below market rates.
The multi-phase initiative is setting a new benchmark for affordable, sustainable housing, ensuring Canmore remains a place where people of all incomes can live and work, explains a release.
“We’re already 1,200 homes short. This project is not just a necessity—it’s a lifeline for Canmore’s future,” said Kristopher Mathieu, CEO of Canmore Community Housing in a statement.
