75. West Memorial Building Rehabilitation Project
ÌýThe program of work includes modernizing and conserving the West Memorial Building and the Supreme Court of Canada Building. The West Memorial Building will host the occupants and visitors of the Supreme Court of Canada Building while the West Memorial Build-ing is modernized. After the Supreme Court of Canada Building Rehabilitation project is complete, the West Memorial Building, which has been vacant since 2008, will be used as long-term ofce space for future federal government occupants.

74. Yellowhead Trail Freeway Conversion Project
ÌýThe Yellowhead Trail Freeway Conversion involves converting the existing corridor from an expressway with signalized intersections to a free-owing freeway with grade-separated interchanges. The upgrade will eliminate eight intersections, build two new interchanges, modify three existing intersections, and build new collector roads.

73. PPAW 1 Wind Energy Centre
ÌýThe Pohénégamook-Picard-Saint-Antonin-Wolas-tokuk (PPAW) Wind Energy Centre is a 350-megawatt wind energy project located in the Bas-Saint Laurent region in Quebec. The project was selected by Hy-dro-Quebec in 2023 to contribute to Quebec’s energy transition plan. PPAW 1 is expected to distribute $137 million to the Alliance de l’énergie de l’Est, a consortium of 209 municipalities and territories in Eastern Quebec, from the Montmagny Regional County Municipality (RCM) to the Côte-de-Gaspé RCM, includ-ing the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation and the Communauté maritime des ÃŽles-de-la-Madeleine.

72. Toronto Western Hospital Patient Tower
Once complete in 2028, the new 15-storey tower will add: 82 patient beds, including new critical care beds; 20 state-of-the-art operating rooms, including three new image-guided operating rooms for complex neurosurgical and spinal procedures; and new single patient rooms.

71. CFB Esquimalt A/B Jetty Recapitalization Project
The aim of the A/B Jetty project is to demolish and replace the old A and B jetties at CFB Esquimalt’s Dockyard, which were constructed during World War II. The A/B Jetty project supports Canada’s National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy, which is delivering modern ships to the Royal Cana-dian Navy over the next 30 years. The new fully integrated A/B Jetty facility will be home to several of these Canadian-built vessels, including the new Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship and Joint Support Ship, and in due course the future Canadian Surface Combatant ships.

70. Waasigan Transmission Line
The Waasigan Transmission Line, built in part-nership with nine First Nations, will be a new dou-ble-circuit 230 kilovolt transmission line between Lakehead Transformer Station (TS) in Shuniah and Mackenzie TS in the Town of Atikokan, and a new single-circuit 230 kilovolt transmission line be-tween Mackenzie TS and Dryden TS in the City of Dryden. °µÍø½ûÇøion began in 2024 with the rst phase from Shuniah to Atikokan in-service at the end of 2025 and the second phase from Atikokan to Dryden in-service by the end of 2027.

69. Thunder Bay Correctional Complex
ÌýThe project will result in development of a 345 bed, multi-purpose correctional facility to replace the city’s existing jail and correctional centre. The correctional complex will be designed to meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certication.

68. Calgary Rivers District and Event Centre
This project is more than just a new Event Centre (Scotia Place). It includes a number of improvements to the area including: a new four-lane underpass under the CP train tracks with wide sidewalks at 6th Street S.E.; a community rink, outdoor and indoor gathering spaces; Scotia Place and additional hosting space on a 10-acre parcel of land; and improvements to 5 Street S.E and 15, 17 and 25 Avenue.

67. La Trenche Generating Station Refurbishment
Hydro-Québec’s modernization work on the Trenche generating station on the Saint-Maurice River aims to extend the life of this facility, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025. Replacing the six turbine-generator units with state-of-the-art models will also increase the plant’s installed capacity by approximately 15 per cent, from 302 to 350 megawatts, without changing the ow of the river. The rehabilitation is a major project requiring two years of preparatory work. This began in January 2025 and continue until 2027. The turbine-al-ternator units will be replaced at a rate of one per year from 2027 to 2033, at the same time as work will be carried out on the upstream and downstream decks.

66. Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre
The 600,000-square-feet Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre will include a new patient tower, including a modern nine-story fa-cility with over 350 beds and fully private patient rooms to ensure privacy and enhance infection prevention control. The expanded space will also allow TPH to connect more people to specialized care, including complex continuing care and rehabilitation services. Site preparation work began in February 2024 with a groundbreaking held in April.

65. Port Hope Area Initiative
The Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI) is a federal environmental clean-up program. Its mandate is the remediation and local, long-term, safe management of approximately 1.7 million cubic metres of historic low-level radioactive waste in the municipalities of Port Hope and Clarington. The PHAI has two projects: the Port Hope Project and the Port Granby Project. The Port Hope Project involves the construction of an engineered above ground mound and supporting infrastructure for the safe, long-term management of approximately 1.2 million cubic metres of historic low-level radioactive waste, cleanup of the waste from various major sites and small-scale sites in Port Hope and transportation of the waste to a new long-term waste management facility (LTWMF) currently under construction.

64. Capital Line South LRT
Major construction along 111 Street anticipated began in 2025. Phase 1 of the project is a 4.5-kilometre, high-oor LRT extension along the west side of 111 Street and includes: an LRT underpass at 23 Avenue; two bridges (one across Blackmud Creek and one across Anthony Henday Drive); two stations (Twin Brooks station and Heritage Valley North station connecting to the Heritage Valley Transit Centre and Park and Ride); an Operations and Maintenance Facility; and light rail vehicles.

63. Dwyer Hill Training Centre
The Dwyer Hill Training Centre (DHTC) will provide the Cana-dian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) with the modern infrastructure needed to support their training and operations. This project will provide more than 100,000 square metres of purpose-built space to meet CANSOFCOM’s long-term growth, training, and high-readiness operational needs. Work includes replacing 89 aging and temporary structures with 23 new facilities; renovating seven buildings; and upgrading the site’s utilities.

62. Cowichan Hospital Replacement Project
ÌýThe Project consists of a replacement community-level acute care hospital, with capacity for 204 inpatient beds. The facil-ity will provide patient care and programs to address future service needs for the region while including the following: total building area of approximately 56,448 square metres; capacity for core inpatient and ambulatory services, including seven operating rooms, and additional proce-dure rooms and outpatient/ambulatory clinic capacity, expanded diagnostic imag-ing, and expanded emergency department capacity.

61. Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment
The Royal Columbian Hospital redevel-opment is a three-phase, multi-year project that will increase the hospital’s capacity by approximately 50 per cent. Phase 2, now under construction, will create the new Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower with more beds, a larger Emergency Department and more operating rooms. Phase 3 will upgrade and expand areas in existing buildings to support the beds and services in the new acute care tower.

60. Bloor-Yonge Station Capacity Improvements
ÌýThe Bloor-Yonge Station project includes the construction of a new Line 2 passenger platform and the expansion of both Line 1 passenger platforms, enhancements to the concourse level, entrances, exits and improved accessibility features. Advanced construction includes the removal of the buildings at 81 Bloor Street East and 40 and 42 Hayden Street to construct a new, accessible subway entrance as a part of the larger project.

59. MacDonald Block Reconstruction Project
ÌýThe Macdonald Block Complex is the hub for administrative services for the Government of Ontario. The complex consists of ve buildings, including four ofce towers, with a total of approximately 1.7-million square feet. Each building in the complex will be taken back to its original building core, remediated, and rebuilt using modern technologies, systems and materials while preserving the integrity of its many heritage features.

58. CAMH Phase 1D Redevelopment
The Phase 1D Redevelopment will include two new CAMH buildings on Queen Street West to replace existing facilities for patients with complex mental illness who have encountered the legal system, and to consolidate research in one state-of-the-art facility. The Temerty Discovery Centre will consolidate current CAMH research from across the city into one centralized location. The Waverley House Secure Care & Recovery Building is a Ministry of Health funded pro-ject to redevelop CAMH’s existing facilities for patients with mental illness who have encountered the law.

57. Place du Portage III Renewal
ÌýThe Portage III complex, currently serving as Public Services and Procurement Canada’s headquarters, is the largest of the four buildings that comprise the Place du Portage federal campus in Gatineau, Que. The renewal of Portage III encompasses a complete overhaul of both the inside and outside of the building, including modernized activity-based workplaces; a new energy-efcient building envelope and heating; (HVAC) system; a new accessible entrance and a completely revamped main entrance; and improved landscaping.

56. Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project
ÌýThe new four lane crossing is being built to modern safety standards and features wider lanes to better accommodate passenger and commercial vehicles, a centre median barrier, dedicated multi-use pathways for walking and cycling that are separated from trafc on both sides of the bridge and is designed to accommodate potential future expansion to six lanes. The new bridge will be located just upstream and northeast of the existing bridge and will include new on and off ramps to connect the new bridge with the existing road network.

55. Coquitlam Water Main Project
Metro Vancouver is constructing a new water main in the City of Coquitlam to optimize the capacity of the existing Coquitlam water supply system and to meet the growing demand for drinking water in the region with the eventual expansion of the source supply under the Coquitlam Lake Water Supply Project. The Coquitlam Water Main is approximately 12 kilometres long, and ranges in diameter from 2.2 to 3.2 metres. The water main is being constructed in four sections. °µÍø½ûÇøion of the first pre-build section is underway.

54. Réno-Systèmes and Réno Infrastructures Programs
The Réno-Systèmes program’s objective is to replace and refurbish the metro’s xed equipment that has reached or exceeded its lifecycle. The Réno-Infra-structures program was set up to intervene preven-tively on all infrastructures. The Metro Accessibility program is directly devoted to the development of the level of service and improving the customer experi-ence in terms of universal accessibility by integrating elevators into stations that already exist and are in operation, as well as the integration of new pieces of art in those stations.

53. University Hospital of Northern British Columbia—Acute Care Tower
The Early Works phase of the project started in spring 2024 with the construction of a 471-space parkade. Following this, the services at the Northern Interior Health Unit (NIHU) will be relocated to make way for the construction of the acute care tower on that site. Upon completion, the 11-story facility will more than double the number of beds available for cardiac, mental health and substance use, and surgical services. The parkade is expected to be completed by fall 2025, and the NIHU will move by spring 2026. °µÍø½ûÇøion of the acute care tower will begin in fall 2026, with plans to open for patients in winter 2031.

52. SmartTrack Stations Program
ÌýThe SmartTrack Stations Program will improve transportation choice within Toronto by leveraging existing transit infrastructure to serve more people. Combined with Metrolinx’s GO Expansion Program, the SmartTrack Stations Program will transform heavy rail infrastructure in Toronto from a regional commuter service into an urban rapid transit network. The SmartTrack Stations Program will see five stations con-structed at Finch-Kennedy, East Harbour, King-Liberty, Bloor-Lansdowne, and St. Clair-Old Weston.

51. Highway 1 Upgrades — Kamloops to Alberta
The TerraCanada Science and Innovation hub will energize collaboration by establishing a multi-partner network with facilities in the NCA and other regions across the country, including the recently opened labo-ratories in Mississauga and Hamilton. Design began in 2024, with site preparation and construction starting in 2026. The facility will house approximately 450 em-ployees and scientists from Natural Resources Canada and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
